Clay McCreary was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1964. A week after High School graduation he flew to Pheonix, Arizona to Motorcycle Mechanic's Institute where he learned the technician trade on Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Upon his return Clay worked in the family business, St. Joe Harley-Davidson located in St. Joseph, Missouri.

For the next eight years he did all the duties of a technician and pursued his interest in motorcycle drag racing. Clay also was very passionate about creativity and design as he designed Harley-Davidson custom motorcycles and developed and created all the dealership advertisements and promotions almost on a daily basis.

With the constant smoke of gears turning in Clay's creative head, he got a love hot rod cars & trucks and began building a few with his personal touch giving them the cool factor. He was able to do most of the work to them as his Dad was originally a machinist and taught his son Clay all about the trade along with welding, brazing, and much more that came in handy.

Just a few years ago Mr. Willie G. Davidson, the grandson of John Davidson fell in love with a 49' Chevy pickup Clay designed and built and purchased it. (You might not

recognize the name but Willie G. Davidson is related to the American legend "Harley-Davidson" motorcycles!)

Recently, Clay changed paths in his career just a little by deciding to work from his home office as most all of his work load was done on the computer. Along with this he started a new small business at his home in a metal building in which he built his auto's and more. Clay's passion of artistic design and creativity continues to push to do just that and build things unique and out of the norm.

Starting with a plasma cutter and making signs and designs seemed to come easy with Clay's drawing skills and background. A few of these metal art pieces began as gifts then quickly turned into wanted pieces as his list of custom signs grew. Most all of the plasma cut signs and pieces are done by specialty shops using a CNC computer controlled plasma machine, whereas Clay does it all by freehand with no stencils or anything else. Clay was gifted with a ability to draw anything, so whatever you want him to draw then cut into a beautiful metal piece is not a problem for him. This along with welding on frames and coloring the metal with heat from a torch put Clay's metal art in a class all it's own!

Today life is good for Clay McCreary. He is making personalized contemporary metal art pieces for clients all over especially since his website was launched www.ClaysMetalArt.com to show the art world something all new! Along with his St. Joe Harley-Davidson job duties, which he loves also, Clay plays a juggling act scheduling his time with both of his jobs.

After speaking to a few art galleries in the Midwest to carry some CMA pieces for retail sales and a few more ads and word of mouth only, the sky is the limit for something totally new and unique as a high-end metal art centerpiece. So, as Clay say's "Let's personalize your wall with a custom metal art piece."
